We started a recycling and a fundraising project in our school. We recycle bottles for the 5 cent profit. In conjunction with our school's Christian Seekers Club, we are using the raised money to purchase goats for poor African families. In addition, we donated a goat to a village in Rwanda, Africa this year. We are hoping to send more goats to the continent by the end of Spring.

Last year, Team 375 donated three personalized wheelchairs we assembled to three groups around the community. First, we donated one wheelchair to Councilman James Oddo for one of his constituents. Secondly, we gave another wheelchair to the Staten IslandCommunity Hospital. Finally, we found a two-party family in Staten Island. Both of the parties were disabled and needed a wheelchair to share, so we donated the third wheelchair to their cause.
Team 375 applied for the M.I.T. Lemelson Invent-Team Grant in order to come up with a new type of a wheelchair. Due to our work with the disabled community through Staten Island Project Home-front's veterans of war and the Staten Island University Hospital, we discovered that technology is not just fun, but often necessary.
